How we earn money
This site is funded by affiliate commissions. When we link to a product and a reader purchases it, the retailer pays us a percentage. We do not accept payment for placement, we do not publish sponsored articles presented as editorial, and manufacturers do not review our copy before publication.
How we research a product
- We start with the label and the manufacturer's official page, and we attribute their statements to them ("according to the manufacturer").
- We read the peer-reviewed literature on the ingredients, favoring reviews and controlled trials indexed in PubMed over blog posts and press releases.
- We use structure/function language only. We never say a supplement treats, cures or prevents a disease, because supplements are not evaluated for that purpose.
- We do not reproduce manufacturer testimonials, before-and-after photos, media logos or certification badges, and we never invent testimonials or quotes.
- We do not publish prices, discounts or bonus lists, since these change on the vendor's side and can quickly become misleading.
